Cancellation Policy

1. Overview
This cancellation policy applies to all bookings made through the Bird and Wild platform. We understand that plans can change, and we strive to be fair to both travelers and guides.
2. Traveler Cancellations
Cancellation by Traveler - Refund Schedule
- More than 7 days before tour: Full deposit refund
- 3-7 days before tour: 50% deposit refund
- Less than 3 days before tour: No refund
- No-show: No refund
To cancel a booking, please go to "My Bookings" in your account and select the cancellation option, or contact our support team.
3. Guide Cancellations
If a guide needs to cancel a tour:
- Travelers will receive a full deposit refund
- We will attempt to offer alternative dates or guides when possible
- Frequent guide cancellations may result in account suspension
4. Weather-Related Cancellations
For safety reasons, tours may be cancelled due to severe weather conditions:
- If cancelled by the guide due to weather: Full deposit refund or reschedule option
- Light rain typically does not warrant cancellation for birdwatching tours
- Guides will communicate weather-related decisions at least 24 hours in advance when possible
5. Modifications to Bookings
Booking modifications (date changes, participant count adjustments) are subject to:
- Guide availability and approval
- Price adjustments based on the new booking details
- A modification fee may apply for changes made less than 7 days before the tour
6. Force Majeure
In cases of force majeure (natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics, etc.), Bird and Wild will work with both travelers and guides to find fair solutions, which may include:
- Full refunds
- Credit for future bookings
- Rescheduling to a later date
7. Refund Processing
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method:
- Credit/Debit cards (Stripe): 5-10 business days
- PayPal: 3-5 business days
Please note that your bank may take additional time to process the refund.
8. Disputes
If you believe a cancellation or refund was handled incorrectly, please contact our support team within 30 days. We will review your case and work to find a fair resolution.
