Your tour guide:

Manuel Antonio Tours was founded with one simple mission: to share the rich biodiversity of Manuel Antonio National Park with visitors from around the world, in the most authentic and memorable way possible. With 14+ years of professional guiding experience in Manuel Antonio and the surrounding Quepos region, our guides have developed an unmatched understanding of this ecosystem. We know where the sloths sleep, which trees the white-faced monkeys prefer in the dry season, and the exact spots where scarlet macaws gather at dusk. This deep local knowledge translates into results: our guests consistently enjoy an 80–90% wildlife sighting rate, well above the average for unguided park visits.

About this tour

Our signature Manuel Antonio National Park guided tour is led by an ICT-certified naturalist guide with 14+ years of expertise in this very park. This 2 hour tour takes you deep into the primary rainforest along Manuel Antonio's best wildlife-rich trails. From the moment you enter the park, your guide begins scanning the canopy, listening for the rustle of howler monkeys, tracking the slow movements of three-toed sloths, and spotting the barely-visible outline of a sleeping boa constrictor coiled on a branch overhead. This is what separates a guided tour from a self-guided walk: the ability to see what others walk right past. Manuel Antonio National Park is home to 109 mammal species, 184 bird species, and countless reptiles, amphibians, and insects. In just 2 hours with your expert guide, you'll encounter a curated selection of the park's most remarkable residents. Our 80–90% wildlife sighting rate consistently delivers sloths, monkeys, iguanas, and much more. Groups are kept to a strict maximum of 10 people, small enough to move quietly through the forest, get close to wildlife without disturbance, and ensure every guest gets the personal attention of their guide. Tours are conducted in English, German, French, and Spanish. After the tour, many guests choose to stay and explore Manuel Antonio beach on their own, one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica, right inside the park.
