Jungle & River Birding
Your tour guide:
My name is Gerson. I am a naturalist guide, born in the Caribbean of Costa Rica and now residing in Puerto Jiménez. I visited the Osa Peninsula a long time ago, and I simply fell in love with the place. Since then, I have tried to do the things that fill me as a person: love nature and share it, learn from it, and grow.
About this tour
Jungle River Birding – Description Explore a productive birding area near Puerto Jiménez where forest and river habitats create excellent opportunities for birdwatching. During this short birding experience, we will search for forest species such as woodcreepers, woodpeckers, trogons, and, with some luck, colorful manakins hidden inside the vegetation. Along the river edge, we may encounter kingfishers, herons, hawks, and other species associated with open areas and freshwater habitats. Depending on the season and conditions, exciting sightings such as the Roseate Spoonbill are also possible. This tour offers a great opportunity to experience the bird diversity of the Osa Peninsula in a relaxed and scenic setting.
