Osa Peninsula Endemic and Iconic Birds Tour
Your tour guide:
My name is Gerson. I am a naturalist guide, born in the Caribbean of Costa Rica and now residing in Puerto Jiménez. I visited the Osa Peninsula a long time ago, and I simply fell in love with the place. Since then, I have tried to do the things that fill me as a person: love nature and share it, learn from it, and grow.
About this tour
Join us on a half-day birding adventure across the Osa Peninsula in search of some of the region’s most iconic and endemic bird species. We will visit carefully selected locations and different ecosystems with the goal of spotting specialties such as the Mangrove Hummingbird, Yellow-billed Cotinga, Black-cheeked Ant-Tanager, Orange-collared Manakin, Turquoise Cotinga, and the colorful Fiery-billed Aracari. Because we explore a variety of habitats — including mangroves, rainforest, riversides, and forest edges — there are also excellent opportunities to observe many other bird species, as well as mammals, reptiles, and amphibians along the way. To finish the experience, we will enjoy a traditional Costa Rican lunch at a local restaurant while reviewing the morning’s highlights and bird sightings.
