About this tour

Experience the vibrant avian life of Bahia Ballena on a guided birdwatching tour through one of Costa Rica’s most scenic coastal communities. This peaceful walk offers a wonderful opportunity to discover the fascinating bird species that inhabit the local forest ecosystems while learning the essentials of bird identification and the natural history of the area. We begin the morning tour at 5:45 a.m., the perfect time to witness the forest awakening to a chorus of melodious birdsong. Alternatively, you may join our afternoon tour at 14:30 p.m. to explore the trails at a different pace. At the end of your walk, enjoy a typical Costa Rican breakfast accompanied by coffee or orange juice, or a snack depending on the time of the tour.
